TFG Asset Management and Banyan Square Partners Make Strategic Investment in WovenLight

TFG Asset Management today announces that through Banyan Square Partners, it has made a strategic investment in WovenLight Limited, a technology company focused on the private equity industry that deploys sophisticated data analytics augmented by artificial intelligence to improve corporate performance.

WovenLight was founded by Simon Williams, who previously co-founded QuantumBlack, a machine learning and data sciences consulting firm launched in 2009 and acquired by McKinsey & Company in 2015. WovenLight’s core business is to work with private equity sponsors in pre-acquisition rapid diagnostics as well as post-acquisition portfolio value creation.

Banyan Square Partners is TFG Asset Management’s private equity business focusing on non-control equity investments, as well as opportunistic investments in public equity and credit instruments – primarily investing in enterprise software and technology companies. Its strategic investment in WovenLight is intended to create opportunities for collaboration across co-investments and technological knowledge sharing.
