Phil Balzafiore is the Head of Tax. Prior to joining the group in 2020, he was the Global Head of Tax at AQR Capital Management. Phil spent over ten years at UBS AG, where he was Head of Tax Advisory and Risk Control. He began his career at KPMG, working for nine years in its financial services and international tax practices. Phil earned a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Hofstra University, a law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, and a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the New York bar and is based in New York.
