European Event Driven Equities

Reade Griffith co-founded Polygon in 2002 and TFM, the investment manager of TFG, in 2005. He is a Principal of TFM, a member of the TFG Board of Directors, the Head of TFM’s Investment & Risk Committee, a member of TFM’s Executive Committee, the CIO of Polygon’s European Event Driven Equities strategy, a member of the Investment & Management Committee of TCIP and Tetragon Credit Income II L.P. He was previously the founder and chief executive officer of the European office of Citadel Investment Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund that he joined in 1998. He was a partner and senior managing director responsible for running the Global Event Driven arbitrage team in Tokyo, London and Chicago for the firm. He was previously with Baker, Nye, where he was an analyst working on an arbitrage and special situations portfolio. Mr. Griffith holds a JD degree from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard College. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and left as a Captain following the 1991 Gulf War. Mr. Griffith is based in London.

Nicolas Dautigny

European Event Driven Equities

Nicolas Dautigny joined Polygon in early 2003, and is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Polygon's European Event Driven Equities strategy. Prior to that, he was a Vice President in the hedge fund sales team at Lehman Brothers where he had been since 1998. He started his career at Crédit Lyonnais focused on equity derivative sales. Mr. Dautigny holds a Master's degree in business sciences with a major in finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine, where he also earned a DESS (postgraduate) degree with a specialisation in financial markets. He is primarily focused on the event-driven business. Mr. Dautigny is based in London.

Mike Humphries

Convertible Securities and Mining Equities

Mike Humphries joined Polygon in January 2009, and is the CIO of Polygon's Convertible Securities strategy and Co-CIO of the Mining Equities strategy. Previously, Mr. Humphries was a founding principal of MKM Longboat where he was responsible for the convertible, event and equity relative value strategies. MKM Longboat was formed through the separation of the European franchise of Sagamore Hill in January 2006. Mr. Humphries joined Sagamore Hill from Goldman Sachs in January of 2002, built and ran the European franchise of Sagamore, was responsible for their non-U.S. convertible business and for the development and management of the European event and credit businesses. He spent eight years at Goldman Sachs prior to joining Sagamore Hill including six years in the firm's proprietary convertible business and several years in investment banking. He began his career in equity research with James Capel in 1993. Mr. Humphries is based in London.

Peter Bell

Mining Equities

Peter Bell joined Polygon in early 2009, and is the Co-CIO of Polygon's Mining Equities strategy. Previously, he was a Mining Analyst at MKM Longboat. Before MKM Longboat, he worked for 18 years in the mining industry, most recently as the Chief Consulting Geologist at Newmont Mining Corporation. Mr. Bell graduated from the University of Western Ontario (Canada) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Queen's University (Canada) with a Master of Science degree in Mineral Exploration Geology and the University of Denver with a Graduate Certificate in Finance. Mr. Bell is based in London.

Olivier Blechner

Distressed Securities

Olivier Blechner joined Polygon in May 2013, and is the CIO of Polygon's Distressed Securities strategy. Prior to joining, he was a Research Director at Alden Global Capital where he invested (long and short) in distressed debt and equity securities globally. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Blechner was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at TPG Credit Management, where he was responsible for its investment activities in the European distressed and undervalued leveraged debt space as well as in special situations. From 2004 to 2006, he was Head of European Credit Opportunities with Sandell Asset Management, where he made investments across the entire credit spectrum, with particular emphasis on distressed, stressed and event-driven credit. Prior to that, Mr. Blechner concentrated on leveraged finance and rescue financing transactions in the financial restructuring group at Houlihan Lokey, and at Credit Suisse First Boston/Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Blechner, a Swiss national, received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Mr. Blechner is based in London.
