Sean Côté is General Counsel, Co-Head of Legal, Regulatory and Compliance and a member of the Executive Committee. Sean joined the group in 2004, and prior to that, he was a Senior Corporate Associate in the New York office of Covington & Burling, an international law firm he joined in 1999, where he advised clients on a broad range of corporate matters. He started his legal career in 1995 with Hale and Dorr in Boston, where he focused on securities and M&A transactions. Sean has a law degree from Harvard Law School, a Master’s degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College. He is admitted to the New York, Massachusetts and Florida bars. His responsibilities include all legal and regulatory matters. Sean is based in London.
